The team at Everdure by Heston Blumenthal were looking to break into the Amazon US market with poweruful and character filled graphics.

 

Brand Identity.

Everdure by Heston Blumenthal maintains a professional approach to their logos and imagery, as a
result I wanted to echo this through their Amazon brand pages. In the above imagery I have taken the distinctive lines present in their brand logo and implemented it as a ‘framing’ to each individual
product category.

 What have I learned from this project?

  • Adaptation of Design - When designing digital assets we must consider the applications and requirements of the platform we are designing for. Amazon has a unique experience brand per brand, each brand can exercise a “brand” home page environment to house all information relating to the brand. The above design was focused on fully utilising that space, whilst staying within the requirements of Amazon’s restrictive modular page design. Most assets we previously had were designed with atypical web spacing in design that utilise the entire width of a web page, Amazon’s modular design was challenging at first to fully utilise our assets whilst maintaining built in web links.

  • Regional adaptation - Barbequing to the US is known as Grilling, correct utilisation of these varying terms was key to the success of the brand page to ensure we are appropriately speaking to the local audience.
